For someone who doesn't need a complicated smart-home system and primarily wants to look at the weather around the house, that simplicity can be appealing.
What I Would Look For
If I were researching a Sainlogic station for my own home, I would pay particular attention to:
- The exact model number
- What sensors are included

This is also where I want to be very careful.
Because I haven't personally tested either the Sainlogic WS0835 or the AcuRite Iris, I can't honestly tell you that one is more accurate based on my own measurements.
And I don't think I should pretend otherwise.
Weather-station accuracy isn't simply about the sensor itself.
Installation matters.
Sensor placement matters.
Calibration matters.
Surrounding buildings and trees matter.
Wind exposure matters.
Rain-gauge placement matters.
Even the weather conditions occurring during a comparison can affect the results.
